What went wrong with the Jin patch?

Is it just me, or did something go totally wrong since the Jin patch? I have been experiencing more and more lag every day that I never experienced before. Its not my comp - I surpass the recommended requirements. I know some other people are experiencing it too.

Will this be fixed, or what? I used to only get expelled for not loading, maybe once a week or so, but now I'm getting that error every day. I even completely reinstalled my OS and cleaned everything out. Still the same problem.

Can we get some sort of response? Are GMs even looking into this?

Yet another victim. If you look at the other lag thread in the GC General Discussion forum, you'll notice others with the same problems.

I know nothing of computers but.. Maybe the files just starting to get pretty big? I mean as time goes on I think we've slowly became more aparent to the lag problem.

Could it just be that the game is getting bigger? And also getting a fairly big population?

Like I said.. I know nothing of computers or games.. just my theory I guess. ;___;

I have 30Gb free space, which is plenty of space for GC, so I don't think it has anything to do with size. Maybe I could be the new players, but idk, I far surpass the minimum requirements....

Hmm. Grand Chase doesn't actually show on the processes tab in task manager in Vista. o.O

I can't directly check it's resource usage, but... my estimate is that it's running about...

18% of my RAM, or 18% of 4GB. Under a GB, nothing amazing, but in Vista makes the computer require around 3GB RAM before optimisation.

And... 30% of 2.4 GHz CPU, or 0.72 GHz. CPU usage is harder to monitor, I'm probably around up tp 10% off in either direction.

Now, these measurements were taken in the map. I'd check during staging, but I'd have to close the program while staging as host, which doesn't help the other players. Under the game system, in stages the Host needs more resources. This matters less in pvp maps, except for the Babel and the Temple, or when items are turned on.

It WOULD appear, however, that the RAM usage, possibly only in Vista, is higher than the 'recommended' requirements.

well grandchase uses nowere near half of my memory. just a sec ill check how much of my internet it uses

ok so i tested internet and i recieved a lag spike upon server entry and praticly no use of internet usage otherwise

i receieved a small amout of internet usage upon entering a room, starting a game, pulling up the screen victory screen, and exiting the game. other than that i have no record of any internet usage at all

Grand Chase is a p2p game; what this means is that when you're playing, there is no central 'server' you connect to. The host of the room has his/her computer essentially become the server while you play.

Hence, if you play alone, Grand Chase requires no internet connection during stages. On the same line, Grand Chase needs more bandwidth if your room has more players in it. The only true test of Grand Chase's requirements is, therefore, hosting a room with 4 players in a stage and taking measurements then. (Requires maximum specs for the game)

I'm sure that Ntreev's Tech Team is looking into it.  They even stated it in the announcement page on 6/26.  It's not specifically Jin causing the problem, but several other variables are taken into account (region, firewalls, fluctuating latencies, etc).  Just be patient.
