I gacha a lot, and it really annoys me when I spend over a hundred and fail to get a certain type of item...... so I thought of a system where you could get one item of your choice after using a certain amount of coins.
For example.....
A player has used about $50-60 and still hasnt gotten the one item they want...... in order to make the player feel like they got their money's worth, the player would be given the option of choosing one item to receive for their repeated use of that gacha dungeon.....
system:
-After 50-60 coins being used in one gacha dungeon (must be the same one), an option appears where a player can choose the item they want to receive...... sort of out of pity that they haven't received it yet.
-This option appears only ONCE per character in the gacha dungeon, so completionists would still have to pay out more money if they want to get the VIP badge. You may only pick an item from the list of items that is possible to obtain for that character. ie: if you get the "pity item window" with elesis, you may only choose one of the items obtainable by elesis in the gacha dungeon.
This way, the unlucky players of gacha would get the item they want, and feel very satisfied with themselves, while Ntreev would still be receiving a large amount from the gacha they played..... Pretty much a win-win situation.
-edit- To clear this up: my reasoning for this is that 50-60 coins is the same price as an entire consol game which gives anywhere from 6 to 100+ hours of entertainment for that value. To me, it seems reasonable to assume that those people who want the item should be able to receive what they want after such a large payment.

Well, i know most people would go for the pet, which might affect their profit on the gacha system....... but it could also be used to get people that one last piece of armor that has been eluding them..... i mean... what if they already got the pet and just wanted a helm or weapon or something?
Like i said, some of the fine details should be worked out, like how much money before you get the "pity item", or does the amount change in special dungeons vs. regular.... etc.
But overall, I thought with a few modifications, it could work out quite well. Improves morale of GC'ers, and keeps people playing gacha. (and not get super frustrated with it.)
I have another suggestion that i'll post tomorrow....... I think that one might be a good one as well, but i'm too tired to type it up at this time of........ apparently it's morning already.

I suggest the use of 50 gacha coins = 1 free item of your choice.
Now yes people could be like me and save up the event gacha coins (which would count as well) but I still easily cash a good 70-80 on gacha ^_^ I love having all the sets and ViP tokens lol

I play gacha when I get the chance to and I apparently fail. I tried to get saku during the extra drop rate (forgot the name, sorry) event thing and used about.. 40 coins.. I get everything but Saku. I've repeatedly tried to get her and I have spent aprox. 100 coins.. everything but Saku >.>

I thought of a solution to the problem where "everyone would go after the pet" (even though players wouldnt view it as a problem)
You know how when you get the item, it shows you the cash value of that item? Well what if there were tiers of items you could choose...... ay maybe after 30 coins, you can choose one of the cheaper items like the shoes or gloves, and after more coins being spent, you can choose one of the more expensive items like the weapon or pet..... etc.....
So it would kinda be like a "rage bar" ........... but if you choose one of the cheaper items, then the bar resets and you have to get it all the way back from 0 again.
Though i think this might make it no longer a gacha...... but it would still be good for those unlucky types like myself. =(

I know exactly how you feel! I've got 2.5 complete sets of saku armor and no pet. :D
And one complete set of lillith armor and no pet~
and a almost complete sidt set with 2 pets! (never got that last helm......)
and the list goes on and on........
There's always that one last item that has foiled my ambition, and thats kinda where this idea came from.
