Go to the shop. Click on the "Couple" tab. Then look for a GP ring. One gives Def. and Vitality, while the other gives Attack. Choose which one you want. If you Couple with someone of your own gender. It's perfectly fine, but immature people will comment rudely. Just ignore them. I just coupled with a friend yesterday, but no one really cared.

You can couple with the same and opposite gender.
Coupling with the same gender doesn't make you gay, so don't call it "Gay Coupling". Meanie. You just couple for EXP, GP and stat boosts.
