Loki, i have a very important question that needs to be answered
One of my team members has a banned forum account but hes using another one... he didnt tell me till just now..
My question is...if one of my members is banned , we wont be able compete?
also...can i resign my team? even if it means getting into the sattelite tourney, in case i cant compete with my current team?

If the forum account that is associated with a player's game account is currently prohibited from posting, then that account is not in good standing and the team would be ineligible to compete.
So basically, if that situation occurred, you would want to delete your registration post (or let me know) and then post again, but of course bear in mind that doing so would forfeit your spot in line and you might have to compete in the satellite tournament. YOU would still be perfectly eligible to play, but you'd have to re-register essentially.
From Ryugen
I guess I should of told you that his account was banned Ark...Slipped my mind!
I suppose we won't get to fight in this, we will now....

i see...
thank you for clearing my doubt...
Looks like i have to get a new member for the tournament then...
OH Loki, another question
It says that the Satellite Tournament Branch will allow 5 teams to participate...what if less than 6 teams register for the tournament?
does that mean that the satellite is cancelled and the 5 extra teams dont have to fight to replace a team?

Out of curiosity, where does it say 5? If it says 5, I need to change it.. It should be 16.
If less teams register, there will be less teams to fight through, so that's a good thing.
Basically, the way we used to handle "replacements" was we'd take 64 teams, and then we'd go in the order of posting and pull any teams past 64 to replace those who don't show up. However, this made the first day of the tournament unnecessarily longer, and teams--even replacement teams who made it through the first round!--still failed to show up on day two.
So we wanted to bring in replacements on day two, so that any replacement team that came in would be able to finish the rest of the tournament on that day. However, that leaves a question of equity, since all the "day two" teams already had to beat their day one opponents to advance. It wouldn't be fair to stick random registrants in that spot, so the satellite tournament exists to make you fight for your right to party.
If your team is First Place in the satellite, that just means that the first team that doesn't show up on Friday (if any teams fail to show), you get their spot. If your team is fifth, that means five teams from day one would have to drop out or "no show" for you to get your spotlight. Heck, if 16 day one teams bounce on us, everyone in the satellite tournament will get in.
Stay tuned for a breaking news announcement later tonight.

oh, i misread it... never mind my last question
i read the information thread again...
[From the Information Page]
In the past, we have taken a list of 5 or so "alternates" who will appear in the first round of a tournament to replace competitors who don't show up for their matches. Although this could conceivably give a chance to a deserving player, there is no guarantee that an alternate will be called.
... does that mean you have "backup" players that will compete in case someone is a no-show?
so what i understand...the people from the Satellite will compete depending on the ranking?

stop asking...Remeber that the GMs set the rules, they can change it to whatever they decide

We never said they couldn't change it, we just want to know the reasoning behind it :|
picking serdin is such a bad idea.
Why? Because you are afraid you will lose? I honestly think it's a good idea. In the previous tournaments, we played in maps that were biased against ranged players. The maps didn't allow much room for ranged players and many people using melee won the matches. Finally, it seems that ranged players are getting the advantage for once and all of you are crying that your melee characters aren't going to win.
This is honor guard. Everyone has equal stats, except for the Warlord. I think the map choice was brilliant.
*Eloric made this cute siggy*
when will the registration stop and the brackets be put up x.x???

I really do hope that your post is a joke. Please, name ONE TOURNAMENT MAP that restricted lires movement to the point where its nearly impossible to win. Honor Guard only further makes this map unfair, enjoy dying in 5 hits from the AR camping on the other side of the map, you know the one you can't reach because the map is too long left to right with nearly no up and down movement. Have no fear though, if you do reach the AR he'll smack you in the air and run to the other side. I'm glad this map is SOOO fair, right? You're basically saying next tournament hell bridge is fair choice because we've had something that hurts melee before, why not have a map that hurts lire? Though, arme will just spam FB so you probably wouldn't mind that map, after all you only want serdin to spam, right?
