Otto (Auto) is a cheap abusive method. In dungeons its a cheat, but I won't go shouting at people there. In PvP its completely disrespectfull to your opponent. Use it against me and be preapared to gain hate points.
If you win with otto in PvP, your victory is tarnished by shame. teha ottoed me in the aftermath of one of Zhon's movie rooms (where we start killing each other), since then I have a slight urge to hurt him.

I don't really see why some people like to call lires 'dash otto' a glitch or a cheat, it isn't really even comparable to the melee versions. You're just dashing, jumping and shooting very quickly. Honestly, that doesn't sound like cheating or glitching to me. The melee ottos stop you from falling through a platform when you should, thats why it's a glitch.
The lire 'otto' doesn't do anything like that, and it's escapable by most characters even without a counter. If you want to consider this cheating then I don't see why other techniques outside the games basic moves, like rocket step, flash step, delay grabbing, and double(or more) grabbing aren't.
I guess lire just can't have any techniques without it being "cheap" or "cheating". D:

oh and also mele otto you can avoid the archer otto is a little bit harder when your trying to get to one

It's an infinite combo, same as the melees. If our development team finds a good patch for it, it'll go in.
The melee otto mechanically consists of no more than simply using the jump attack over and over very fast too. =)
