This is for the benefit of all dungeoners, in the hopes that people will be a bit less idiotic and waste less of our time.

Let's start with the don'ts...

DON'T:

- play in a dungeon that's too high for you. You'll die quickly and be of no use to your team, and you'll lower the exp the rest of the team gets.

- enter a level limited room when you're outside of the level.

- beg people to help you get Amy, Lass, Ronan, etcetera.

- knock monsters down in the dungeon. You'll waste time waiting for them to get back up. Find a combination that works for your character which allows you to attack the monster repeatedly without knocking it down.

- especially don't knock down a monster that someone else is attacking. It pisses people off.

- run around/charge MP while the rest of your team waits for you in the portal at the end of a stage. You're wasting everyone's time.

- leech.

- cry when other people get an item you want.

- start random fights that have nothing to do with dungeoning. You'll slow everyone else down. Ignore people that piss you off.

- use natals or bonus lives unless absolutely necessary. You decrease the score of your team if you die again.

- attack things when you're cursed unless your HP is already regenerating.

DO:

- x items in the end screen that you don't specifically need, or items that others have asked for.

- find some way to get behind the monster you're attacking. Double damage makes things go much faster.

- attack a monster no one else is attacking if possible.

- save super armored monsters for last. They die much faster when it's 4v1.

- let someone with a stronger 3-bar attack the boss first.

- use your 3-bar when it's convenient and when you'll get the most use out of it, but also try to use it as often as is plausible.

- remember to start the stage's mission for potions.

- use your potions as to revive yourself.

- use your pet to attack as often as possible. They do decent damage and get you lots of MP.

If you guys have more, feel free to post them!

hmm here is something!

Do - stay in a room unless you RLY GTG (as in leave your comp for a long amount of time) regardless of the mission requireing u need to not die

Don't - leave as soon as you die/loose all 3 free lives

Do - if you can heal/buff, and you are going to leave a room, at least heal/buff up ur party before you leave the room

Don't - beg for healing, especially when you are at 80+% (Heals should be used urgently like that if the person is at 20% or less, and is in a 2v1 issue against him.)

Do - use skills in combos (Kanavan strike + Divebombing = TONS of damage where the harpy falls)

Don't - waste a 3rd bar skill on an enemy with less than 30% life left (Unless its a boss, harpy,or has super armor + hp recover)

Do - congradulate players that lvl or get another character

Don't - talk excessivly when you cant bonus/natal, distracts fellow players

that help any? ;3

The whole "No natal/bonus" is a stupid myth.  I get 30-40k in hell bridge with or without using natals/bonuses, why do you think people in kGC use bonuses/natal?

Getting hit = decreased exp

Reviving = more chances to get hit

Nonexistant correlation:

Reviving = decreased exp

but deaths = less exp right? if someone dies 3 times they're likely to die again if they natal. i'll edit the post though.

no. nonononono NOno. natals have nothing to do with it. assuming you solo, getting hit tons of timmes but not dieing once will make you get very few stars, but if you get killed in one hit three times and finish on a natals, you will get 5 stars easy. natals dont decrease exp, idiots do.

99% of teens would die if myspace had a system failure and was destroyed. Copy-paste this into your signiture if you are one of the 1% that would die laughing.

Heres a bit of something.

Dont's:

-Piss off everyone.

-Do anything stupid.

-Do solo a dungeon cuz no one wants to help unless your really skilled.

-Waste time.

-Do jump parts if you cant do it.

-Waste un-needing skills.

-Waste Natals because it will majorly cut your EXP

-Use a Bonus/Natal if you fail a Jump unless your partner cant do it or your soloing since it will waste time and revive yourself from the start.

-Expell someone immidently since they MIGHT have a good Rank and may pull out a good character.

Do's:

-Use your strongest skill (ie Flame Buster, Dive Bombing, Kanavan Strike, Storm Blade, ect)

-Use the Infinite Combo to prevent knock down unless your character cant (ie AKs, Archers, Mages, ect)

-Plan out strategy

-Assit whenever you can

-Use Passive Skills to help you and your allies (ie Holy Bless, Holy Inferno, Magic Defense, Party Savior, Dance Fever, Loving You, ect)

-ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS CARRY HP POTIONS!!!!!! (I rarely seen anyone use em. Thats how they mostly get killed -_-)

-Use Skill protection whenever your in trouble.

-Analyze your enemies' attacks and learn how to avoid them.

-Be quick on your toes.

-Use Bonus's and Natals whenever you or your teammates are in a bad situation (Use a bonus when your teammate needs help and use a Natal when your whole team has completely lost all their bonus's. I've seen some idiots use Natals just right when they lose their OWN Bonus. Thats a waste and will majorly cut your exp)

-Use the right equipments

-Sell unwanted or un-needed items (mostly crafting items) for GP.

-If you have a Quest, use it. Even though the EXP is minor, it may be useful in the future. Also the Potions are very useful.

-At bosses, leave the minions ALONE because they will annoy you. Some bosses can just summon more even if there not all dead (ie Elena, Kamiki, Dark Anmon, ect).

-At Bosses, always target the leader and kill it down as fast as possible. If it has minions, they will all die when the boss is dead, as well gaining their EXP.

-Harvest MP from monsters for ultamite attacks.

Would this help?

Don't:

-Over extend with a ranged character, if you don't have to run into a mass of enemies to do decent damage, why should you?

-Tell people when you have a good amount of natals, they'll just nag you to revive them, and won't use any of their own bonuses or natals.

-Ask people to defend you while you're AFK, if you have to go somewhere for a bit then go, but don't burden your team because it.

-Ask Arme/Ronan users to heal you all the time; while it's useful, they do have other things to use MP on. They can see your health, so if it's convinient for them they'll probably heal you without being asked. You don't have to say 'thank you' every single time, but it's nice to say that the first time someone heals you in a room.

-Assume your team will use a natal before time runs out, it really stinks to fail the dungeon you've already spent 15 minutes in while you still had 20 bonuses and 35 natals. Related to that, don't wait until the timer is just about to go to 0 either, you need to account for the fact that the host's computer may not get the message in time, you can wait a few seconds, but not at the last 0.1 second.

Do:

-Let your team know if you have to be right back, so they don't assume you're leeching or have disconnected from the host.

-Heal your team if they're on the verge of death.

-Coordinate your attacks to hit as many enemies as possible at a time, to recharge MP faster, speed up rooms, and to keep them at bay longer.

-Take out the little enemies before focusing on the boss, (after using your 3 bar on the boss, of course) they can prove to be a major annoyance if you leave them there the whole battle.

All I can think of at the moment that isn't horribly obvious/already posted.

idiot. rangers have the right to choose what they do. if they want to be a melee ranger, or whatever they call it, they can, it works just as well, and it is not a dont.

Ya know dude, its not recommended to kill the minions at Bosses because some of them can just summon more (ie Gaikoz, Elena, Kamiki, ect). Just wipe out the boss and all the minions will instantly die. If they do spawn minions, just ignore them. If they get in the way, get out of their sight and they wont follow you.

Do not -

- Waste MP on weak minions, you can just kill them without the MP

- Run headlong into a monster's attack

- Assume that everyone will kill the minions for you (Same as leeching but oh well)

- Turn coward and leave at the start of a game

- Waste your pet's attack on air

- say that someone sucks or call them a n00b. That will compel them to leave.

Do -

- Try to group the enemies for easy kill

- Use Arme's (1st Job) quake move at the right time when an enemy attacks to dodge it

- Have at least 1 Lire or Arme for long range attacks
