is using arrow really a spam? because it's Lire's only weapon...though it is annoying being penetrated by arrows and being unable to move.....

I don't know how many time's I've been called a spammer for using zzzzz to trap someone in a corner at the end of the game. When I was a n00b, first month in playing Grand Chase, I killed someone using Kanavan strike and was kicked for spamming.
When I play Arme I get kicked for "spamming" a bunch of times. I said, "What else should they do?" and someone else said, "They're armed with the pentagon thing and the firebolt and were armed with our measily swords." I found it stupid.
But hey. Thanks for the guide! I'll try to practise more grabbing sometime.

This really is a good guide; I really don't like it when people complain of spam. I've had people complain of my "block spam" and "combo spam" on my AK, wth.

well, what the guide is saying is, "true spam is easy to beat".
A big thing about it is the noobs that complain about spam when they're getting whooped. They throw it out as an excuse for winning, so this guide was invented to define "spam", and what ppl can do about true "spam".
same strategy again and=spam. It is easily countered, here's how. That's it's message.

Well, the guide is meant like one of you already said, for true spam. That's why I gave the tomato analogy there. If someone keeps using a combo that always works on you, then it's not the opponents fault you suck at evading it. >> These tips are good against spammers that cannot do anything else but chain the same attack over and over again. At least you have an idea what can you do. True Pros in the game will get to know their characters better and will develope their own counters, but as a starter you can at least try breaking them up with a simple tip from here, eh?
And this guide also was supposed to play a special role. XP If someone calls you a spammer, you can adress the whiner to this topic. If he reads this and cannot win with you, he'll have to acknowledge that it's skill what beat him, not spam.
Maybe I should write a "How to beat Whiners" guide next? XD

all you need to beat whiners is host the and laugh when they complain.
one of the reasons i neco'd was because of a room title I read:
"29- no spam"
-.- yeah, even though noobs don't read the forums, usually, some of them do. and they need to get educated on this. If this changes at least 1 person, it was a success.

Well...you have to hit them more then once. Combo, stay aggressive etc. They only have so much mp and hp. You have to go to them, you have to stay on them. It's not all that complicated.

Not really easy though. If that person has a guardian, then that makes it difficult.
