Chapter 13: The Aftermath

Scene opens at a funeral being held for the missing/dead members of the chase lost during the events at the ruins.
Knight Master: Today we honor those that have lost their lives in order to stop the evil that plagues our lands. We also honor those that we have not been able to find. We have lost mighty warriors that day, but we must pursue the power and the will power to defend against the evil that they lost their lives to try and stop. Let us not let their deaths go in vain. Use this as fuel for our rage to bring against the armies that are coming, we will slay a thousand for every one of ours they have slain, we will show no mercy.  We will rise up and create a brighter future where our young will not have to lose their lives to such evil! A world where they will be able to have fun, and live in peace instead of being threatened every moment of their lives like we do now. Let us create a bright future together.

Scene changes to a room with Lunaset in it.
Lunaset: One week…it’s been one week since that day. That day we lost Elesis to that knight…that day we lost Las when he ran into the portal…the day Ryan went missing…the day Wildcolt was fully possessed…there’s only four of us left and we’re supposed to fight off an army when we couldn’t even beat one of them?
She lets out a long sigh. Then suddenly a rush of images spread through her mind. Someone standing as a large beam of light hits them, and they dissolve into it; a figure speaking but no words coming out; an image of a dagger with blood dripping from it; a barren land with a rush of energy across it bringing life to it; a temple with light energy overflowing from it. The images stop as she clutches her head.
Lunaset: What…what was that…?
A knock is heard on her door.
Lunaset: Who’s there!?
Ronan: Luna, Knight Master wants to see us out in the courtyard about preparations for battle.
Lunaset: Alright, I’ll be there.
Scene changes to the courtyard where Knight Master is standing next to a large, well-built person in a cloak. Knight Master lets out a sigh.
Knight Master: This isn’t going to go well.
Figure: Don’t worry, they’ll understand…eventually.
Knight Master: I hope so; I really don’t want to have to repair this place again after the last time Ronan went on a training binge.
Knight Master sighs as they chase comes out to the courtyard.
Ronan: You requested us?
Knight Master: Yes. As you all are apparently our most formidable knights, I have decided to have you train solely with one of the greatest knights. This should help you prepare for your great battle ahead.
Ronan: And who is that?
The figure removes the hood from his cloak. His eyes release the bright blue glow that was all too familiar to the chase. Shock falls over the chase as they come to the realization of just who it is.
Ronan: Thassarian!? You can’t be serious!
Knight Master: Oh but I am.
Ronan: This bastard killed Elesis! If anything we should be killing him not learning from him!
Thassarian: Shut it.  I was there to guard the last remnant of the demon portal generator and you tried to take it. My orders were to slay anyone that attempted to take it, even if they were my superiors. You were sent as an extra line of defense, but instead chose to attack the other guard. This resulted in the loss of the item and the first event in the beginning of the end for this world. Now there is only one chance to stop the end from happening, and that is to train you all to become powerful enough to fend off the attack coming.
Ronan: Like we can trust you…
Knight Master: Ronan! He was doing his job, like I’ve asked of you so many times. I kind of…forgot he was there to defend the last item; this was a fault on my part. Without it, Elesis may have still been here, but at least the rest of you are still here.
Thassarian: Now then. The first lesson will be to learn about the enemy that we will be facing. Though they may be demons, you will find them to be very similar to our own kind. Just like us they will have their own chain of command, sever the links in this chain and the army will fall, just like ours will if it happens to us. Removing the leader at the top may not be the best idea; as long as the generals remain standing the army can continue to push forward with a greater reason to bring their enemy’s end. So our target will be the enemy generals before we remove their leader. Once the generals are slain the army will panic and will be swiftly cleaned up by our own forces. This is the basis of winning a war.
Ronan: How does that help us now? Shouldn’t we just be trying to get stronger right now? Won’t this all just be said again before we rush into battle, anyways?
Thassarian: Ah, but you must understand the importance. You see, the generals are on a level power all their own. Any of them could easily defeat hundreds of soldiers by themselves, while the common demon could only possible defeat a handful, just like a common soldier. Not only do the generals have a massive amount of power, they also have unique abilities that will tie into their victories.
Arme: And what are these unique abilities?
Thassarian: Control of the elements.
Arme: Like a mage?
Thassarian: Not quite. You see, being able to use the elements and being able to control the elements are very different abilities.  Being able to use them is the ability that a mage would have. A mage can channel the power and release it into an attack of its own, or use it as a defense.  The ability to control it on the other hand, would be the ability to channel it through your own attacks. For instance, it would be like the ability to slash the opponent and leave a burn in addition to the cut if one had control over the element of fire.
Lire: And we combat this how?
Thassarian: That will come in due time. For now we need to train you all in the ability of normal physical fighting. Eventually, you will learn how to control the elements your own, giving you the ability to fight back the generals. Now then…
He draws his sword and raises it into the air. The clouds around grow dark and lightning strikes the sword. He then thrusts it into the ground releasing a powerful wave of energy across the ground. Skeletons rise from the ground, fully armored.
Thassarian: These will be your training partners. Each of them is a mirror of your own fighting ability.
Ronan: But…there’s only three.
Thassarian: That’s right, one for you, one for Lire, and one for Arme.
Lunaset: What about me!?
Thassarian: I have special training for someone of your ability. Come with me. Minions, commence training.
Thassarian and Lunaset leave into the castle. The skeletons engage the rest of the chase.
Ronan: This will be easy enough…SHOCKWAVE!!!
As he releases his wave of energy, the skeleton does the exact same ability back. They waves connect in the air and blows ronan away while the skeleton remains standing.
Lire: Hmm…
Lire jumps into the air and begins firing down at her skeleton. The skeleton nimbly dodges all of the arrows, then a green aura surrounds it and it disappears from her view.
Lire: What!?
The skeleton re-appears in the air next to her. Wind gathers around its right arm as it punches her, sending her crashing back to the ground.
Arme: I see. So they don’t have to act as a complete mirror of us, and only react to the situation as they see best. So in reality, they are actually what we would be at the peak of our performance. Well then I suppose I should see how this one is going to beat me…
As she finishes she throws up a magic shield around her and begins channeling the air around her into a spell. The skeleton just waits for her to finish.
Arme: Something’s not right here…
She says and decides to go ahead and attack with her lightning spell. As it approaches the skeleton, it raises its arm up and the spell gets reflected back at her.
Arme: I knew it!
She immediately stops casting the spell and the shield eats the attack. While she releases from embracing herself the skeleton launches a fireball at her feet, hitting the dirt, but instead  of blowing up, it gets absorbed by the ground and causes the dirt around her to melt into a liquid, causing her to fall into a hole.
Ronan: This is going to be a lot harder than I originally thought…

As Ronan gets back up the scene changes to Lunaset and Thassarian inside the dungeon of the castle.
Lunaset: So…you going to explain what this special training is?
Thassarian: So, have you begun having them again yet?
Lunaset: What are you talking about?
Thassarian: Hmm, well then…have you begun having visions?
Lunaset: H-how did you know!?
Thassarian: I see.
Lunaset: Tell me how you know!
Thassarian: But you already know.
Lunaset: No I don’t!
Thassarian: Oh, but you do!
He draws his sword and points the tip right at the center of her face. A blue mist travels from the sword and travels over to her, going into her mouth and nose. She immediately has another vision. Someone standing as a large beam of light hits them, and they dissolve into it; a figure saying “this is not the end, please remember”; an image of a dagger with blood dripping from it; a barren land with a rush of energy across it bringing life to it; a temple with light energy overflowing from it. She falls to the ground, unconscious.
Thassarian: I see. They’ve only just begun then. Hopefully you’ll be ready in time. I’d hate to know what he’d do to me if you weren’t.
He picks her up and carries her off back into the main part of the castle. Scene dissolves.

Chapter 14 here! :x btw, i still hate this chapter...meh...and yes...yes it is very short...

Chapter 14: Lament of the Forest Guardian

Scene opens upon Ryan praying at a burial site in the middle of a forest. The grave seems to be recently made, and has no proper headstone.
Ryan: Elesis…Elesis…it’s been a week…I promise…I’ll never let any harm come to you again…No one will ever even harm this forest, much less you…I promise…I will become strong for you…I promise…I will never leave your side again…I promise…Elesis…
The scene backs out showing a portal of light into the area with the Guardian of the Void watching.
Guardian: Stupid elf…at this rate I’ll never be able to recover her body before the decaying process advances too far.
In the background, Elesis can be seen trying to fend off the void beast.
Guardian: Though at the rate she’s going I probably won’t even need to get it. Only 16 hours in and she’s already showing signs of fatigue in here.
The guardian sighs as the area back where they’re fighting explodes and Elesis is sent flying away.
Guardian: Guess I’ll have to force him to leave…
The scene switches back into the portal of light to where Ryan is. As he is continues to pray at the grave something catches his eye. He becomes more aware of his surroundings and begins watching closer. Something else catches his eye off to his side.
Ryan: Who’s there!?
The sound of giggling can be heard from all around him, as figures continue to move around him.
Ryan: Where is that coming from…?
The sound of the giggling seems to echo from all directions around him.
Ryan: Enough! Come out!
Suddenly an explosion is heard off in the distance, followed by the sound of trees falling. Ryan jumps up and starts heading off in the direction of the sound. Once he leaves a portal of pure darkness opens and the Guardian steps through. He walks over to the grave and energy begins flowing around his hand. He thrusts his hand into the grave, down to where her body is, and the energy flows inside, surrounding her corpse. Once fully enveloped the energy seems to fold in on itself until it is no larger than a small orb. He pulls it out and a small portal opens in front of him, in which he sticks the orb into.
Guardian: Now for this fool…
He fills the entire area around the grave with dark energy. The energy then causes an implosion destroying everything within.
Ryan: What!? No! That came from!
He runs back as fast as he can to the site. When he arrives, he finds absolutely everything destroyed; the land warped and void of all life.
Ryan: No! Elesis!
He falls to his knees.
Guardian: Pathetic…
Ryan: What!? Who’s there!? What have you done!?
The Guardian keeps changing his position as he speaks to confuse him.
Guardian: Foolish elves…honestly, all you do is mourn when someone close to you dies. You promise all these things that you will do for them, yet you never act on them. You promised to get stronger for her, yet you remained here just grieving, if you truly want to be stronger for her, then do it. I have removed the place of grieving, now train.
Ryan: Why don’t you come out here and I’ll show you just how strong I am already!?
Guardian: Fool…you couldn’t do so much as scratch my physical form, much less be able to defeat me.
Ryan: Then why don’t you come out here and prove it!?
A portal opens before him. As he peers inside it he can see the body of Elesis.
Guardian: If you get stronger then she will return. Though if you don’t reach the proper level of power however…
The portal disintegrates before his eyes.
Guardian: Then she will forever be lost to you.
Ryan: And just who are you to make that decision!?
Guardian: I am the one that has her.
Ryan: Hand her over! Now!
Guardian: Fool you just don’t understand!
He releases dark energy into the area, forming pillars around the area.
Ryan: What is this…?
The energy then connects each pillar forming a wall around him.
Ryan: You think this will stop me!?
He transforms into his werewolf form.
Ryan: You can’t stop me! TORNADO CLAW!!!
He thrusts himself at the wall in an attempt to destroy it, but every time he slashes it’s as if he isn’t hitting anything. The walls then extend upwards and form a dome above him.
Ryan: This…this isn’t good…TORNADO CLAW!!!
He begins randomly attacking different parts, but to no avail.
Ryan: This is useless…
Guardian: Now do you understand how weak you really are?
Ryan: Yes…
Guardian: Good, now you need to train so you can be prepared for the future invasion. And you will do that…here…
The walls fall and reveal that he was actually being transported through the area. He is now on some type of island all to himself.
Ryan: What…what is this place?
Guardian: It is a place known as Praterra. You will train here. Remember, five years. You must show a dramatic improvement in that time.
The scene changes to the void as the Guardian walks through.
Guardian: Now where’s she at…
A nearby explosion is heard and her scream of pain is heard as well.
Guardian: Ah…over there.
He then walks off in the opposite direction and calls forth the orb of energy from before. Once he is satisfied with the distance he releases the energy in the orb and the Elesis’ physical body forms. Energy from the void then begins to collect in the parts that have already decayed and begin repairing the body. Once finished he re-seals the body back into the orb. Scene dissolves.

Chapter 15! We're gettin' serious up in this mother >=O ....ok screw you it's better than the last chapter at least! xD

Chapter 15: The Gathering of Power

Scene opens upon the courtyard of Serdin Castle. Two years have passed since training has begun. In the courtyard are Thassarian, Arme, Lire, and Ronan.
Thassarian: Alright, here is the final test of power for this training section. The battles will be just like before, except now, if you screw up, you will die. Kill them before they kill you.
Chase: Yes, sir!
He raises his sword into the air, dark clouds begin to gather as lightning strikes the blade and he thrusts it into the ground. The chase’s skeletal counterparts rise from the ground, this time with real weapons with their full armor.
Thassarian: Begin!
Ronan: I’ll go first.
Ronan and his counterpart have a small stand off before the action happens. He then quickly draws his sword and slashes at the air causing a wave a energy to travel at the skeleton. The skeleton slashes back at the wave destroying it. During this Ronan has managed to get behind the skeleton.
Ronan: Looks like I win…
He then thrusts his sword into the back of the skeleton’s armor and infuses it with pure energy using his sword as a conductor.
Ronan: LUCESPION!!!
The skeleton then explodes in a bright light leaving little behind other than a burn mark on the ground. Ronan then sheathes his sword and walks back.
Lire: Tch, show off; my turn.
She walks out and prepares to fight her counterpart. The skeleton is the one to strike first this time; it quickly sprints towards her and gathers wind around its sword, forming a small tornado around it. She doesn’t even so much as blink. As it reaches her it goes for the stab, and she disappears from its view. It looks around trying to find her but can’t.
Lire: Up here…
It looks up to see her holding nine arrows between her fingers as she throws them down in a perfect circle around it.
Lire: CYCLONE!!!
A tornado then forms between the arrows and carries the skeleton high into the air. Once the skeleton reaches the top an arrow pierces and shatters its skull. She then walks back to the group.
Ronan: And you call me a show off huh?
Lire: Well, someone has to make you look bad…
Thassarian: And Arme-
A massive explosion happens with small chunks of bones fly around the courtyard.
Arme: Done.
Lire and Ronan’s jaws drop.
Thassarian: R-right. Anyways, congratulations. You have passed the first step on your way to becoming ready for the upcoming fight.
Ronan: And to think we only finished 3 years early…
Thassarian: You actually finished 1 week late.
Ronan: Wait what?
Thassarian: You didn’t really think you were ready for combat did you?
Ronan: Er…
Thassarian: No no no…still have a ways to go. Did you forget what we spoke of on the first day? You have merely been training so that you will have the power to attain the power of elemental control.
Ronan: Didn’t we just do that…
Thassarian: You’re still limiting yourself to the elements rather than bending the elements towards your needs. Come, I will show you a place that has been long forgotten so that you can learn what it truly means to control the elements.
The chase follows him inside the castle. He leads them to the dungeon and to a wall inside. He removes a stone and pulls a level, a wall nearby opens up, he places the stone back and they walk through. The area is incredibly old and hasn’t seen use in ages. He leads them to a set of steps that go further down.
Arme: Where are we…I don’t remember seeing this on any blue prints…
Thassarian: This is a place that was built long before the times of this generation. Serdin Castle was originally built to defend it.
Arme: Little hard to defend it when we don’t even know it’s here.
Thassarian: Not really. Would you honestly say that the castle guards wouldn’t defend it if it came under attack? An ignorant guard is the best guard.
Arme: I suppose…
Ronan: So how much further is it anyways…
Thassarian: Not much…
They continue down the steps for what seems like hours. Eventually they reach the bottom, which appears to be just a small room.
Ronan: This sure looks like the right place…
Thassarian: Silence!
He walks into the room and kneels down to the floor. He puts his hand on the ground and a large runic circle on the floor begins to shine. The doorway behind them closes. The room begins to shake.
Ronan: Ah, an earthquake!?
Arme: Doesn’t seem like it. It seems more like the room itself is moving…
Ronan: Moving? How could that-
Suddenly the room stops and he flies through the room and hits the wall.
Arme: I told you it was moving…
The wall Ronan is on opens up and reveals a dramatically larger room.
Lire: This is…immense…all this is below the castle?
Thassarian: Not quite. The castle merely stands upon the entrance. Now follow.
They walk into the large room. Upon reaching what could be the middle, they stop. Thassarian holds his hand up and begins channeling energy. Once gathering enough energy he slams his hand into the ground and releases a magical explosion that passes through the group but lights up the room, lighting large torches found all over. As the room lights up the group notices that they are standing between five large temples.
Arme: This place…
Thassarian: Yes, welcome to the ground of The Five.
Ronan: The five? What’s that?
Arme: The Five are the guardians that keep the world in order. I thought they were only a myth though…
Thassarian: Oh they are quite real. And you will receive their training and learn how to control the elements. Pay close attention to the temples, they each show the element that they control.
As the group looks closer they can see the elements of the temples.
Thassarian: Fire, water, earth, light, and void.
Ronan: Since when are light and void elements…
Thassarian: They are the beginning and the end of all elements.
Ronan: So do we train with all of them?
Thassarian: No each of you will train with one and only one.
Ronan: Wouldn’t it be better to train with all of them?
Thassarian: One can only fully master one element. Even if you were to train with all of them and gain their massive knowledge, you would have no way to train after you were done to make use of that knowledge fluid in combat.
Ronan: So then which of the five do we go with?
Thassarian: Actually, you only have the choice of three. If you look at both light and void, you cannot enter them.
As they pay more attention to the temples they notice the doorways into them are covered in their respective elements and effectively blocking entry.
Thassarian: So then. The elements should be elements that you can use to increase the usefulness of your powers to the limit, or allow you to gain a major advantage during combat because of the abilities that will cover your weaknesses. Ronan, fire; Arme, water; Lire, earth. These are the ones each of you should focus on. One more word before I send you off to train with them. You should understand, the guardians will put you through some type of test before they agree to teach you. These tests would easily slaughter any normal mortal. This is what you have been training for for the past two years. When you step into the temples you will be warped to their respective realms and from there you will have to seek out the guardians. Don’t go expecting to find what you would be used to seeing as a trainer. The guardians can take the form of anything in their element, be wary of what you choose to ignore. Now go, I will be waiting for you here if and when your training is complete. Good luck.
They head off to the temples.
Thassarian: Well, phase two begins now. Hopefully they will learn to not trust their senses before they’re killed though. I’d hate to have to clean up that mess. Looks like the void has accepted her…and the light…hmm…looks like we just might make it in time. I suppose I should go work off some of this rust as well. After all, what kind of a person would I be if I were to try and train them and I couldn’t perform at the top of my ability.
He then walks off back towards the room. Scene dissolves.

Some of this is probably going to be censored...pg forums...what can i say? *shrug* so if ya see a "Firebolt!" or whatever this forum replaces it with...use your imagination? ;p

Chapter 16: The Reckless Inferno

Scene opens on Ronan standing in front of the Fire Temple.
Ronan: Fire, huh? I thought he said that these were supposed to counter our weaknesses. I do believe fire has only been used offensively…so why would I need it? Hmph. Is he trying to call me weak!? I’ll show him! I’ll kick his Fire Bolt!! And I’ll kick the Fire Bolt! of the guardian too just to prove it!
He then charges inside the temple. Upon entering the world around him immediately changes to that of an area similar to the Gorge of Oath. He barely manages to stop before running off the cliff that has appeared in front of him.
Ronan: What the…I guess this is what he meant when he said their realms…but why the Gorge…hmm…
He begins walking around. As he walks he begins to think outloud.
Ronan: Hmm, this is odd…why is there nothing else here…last time we came here, it was absolutely filled with monsters. There aren’t even any signs that anything has been here in years…wait…what’s that?
His eye catches a symbol on a set of pillars near an opening in the Gorge’s wall. The symbol being 3 arrows stacked on top of each, the top pointing up while the two on bottom point down, each one larger than the one above it.
Ronan: Maybe this is what I’m looking for…
He walks inside of the entrance. Once past the pillars a wall comes out of the ground sealing him inside. He spins around quickly to see it.
Ronan: What!? Well…I guess I’m going forward then…
He takes a few steps forward before he becomes aware of a presence in the place. As he looks around to find it, he notices the place he’s walked into is merely a large circular room inside the room, with large boulders sticking out of the ground.
Ronan: Alright! Who’s there! I know you’re there! Come out!
Voice: Ah, I see. So you are in-tune with magic then are you?
The voice seems to be un-traceable as it bounces off the walls of the room.
Ronan: You could say that. Now who are you!?
Voice: You’ve come here and don’t know who I am? I see.
Ronan: Are you the guardian then?
Voice: Indeed. The guardian of fire, the controller of temperature, the protector of warmth, the one who sees that life may always spark. And just who are you?
Ronan: I am Ronan, Knight-captain of Kanavan and member of the Grand Chase.
Guardian: So a spec on this world of little importance.
Ronan: What!? How dare you! Come out! I’ll kill you!
Guardian: You wish for me to come out and fight you?
Ronan: That’s right! I’ll not stand here and be insulted by someone that is too scared to even reveal themself!
Guardian: Very well then. But remember, you asked for it mortal.
Suddenly a fire begins traveling across the ground towards him. He merely sidesteps to avoid it.
Ronan: Come now! You still can’t come out and fight me!?
Guardian: You don’t seem to understand very much, boy.
Ronan: What is that supposed to-
Suddenly Ronan is set on fire.
Ronan: Urgh…what the hell!?
Guardian: Honestly, to think you could dodge a guardian so easily. Foolish boy, you’ll die here.
The fire on him seems to fall off him onto the ground around him.
Guardian: There is so little you understand about the power of magic. How one like you was chosen to be able to receive my powers is beyond me!
The fire on the ground around him begins to circle around him at high speeds, eventually causing the wind to create a tornado around him and superheating it creating a tornado of fire.
Ronan: Ahhhh!
Guardian: This is where you die!
Ronan: Heh…not quite! BENEDICTUS!!!
The tornado disperses and the flames scatter across the room as an orb of light surrounds him.
Guardian: What is this…
Ronan: To think you could kill somebody like me with something so weak.
Guardian: Don’t act like you’ve saved yourself, boy.
The flames scattered around the room return to a spot behind a rock and Ronan notices this.
Ronan: You know…there’s a reason this skill called Benedictus. It’s not only for defense!
He holds his hand out towards the rock and the orb channels into a smaller orb in his hand.
Ronan: And I also see where you’re hiding! Now die!
The energy releases into a beam towards the rock. The rock explodes upon impact.
Ronan: Hmm, I guess that means I win then doesn’t it?
Guardian: Win what exactly?
Ronan: What!?
Flames jump out from behind the rubble left behind. They stop in the air above him.
Guardian: Allow me to show you just what magic is!
The flames move higher into the air then scatter and fall to the ground around him. Each one causing a large explosion as they land, setting the ground ablaze as well.
Ronan: What did I tell you!? BENE-
Guardian: Not this time!
Suddenly blood shoots from his mouth. As he looks down a spear made purely of flame has pierced his chest.
Ronan: argh…so much…
The spear falls apart to the ground around him and joins the rest of the flames.
Ronan: This…can’t be happening…
Guardian: Someone with such little power challenging a Guardian to a duel. What a foolish idea.
The flames around him intensify and spears of flame begin to form in the air.
Guardian: Now perish mortal!
The spears all move in to skewer him at the same time.
Ronan: I can’t lose here!!! BENEDICTUS!!!
The orb surrounds him and the spears hit it and they all pierce it and manage to stab them. More blood comes out of his mouth.
Ronan: ha…heh…heh...I’ve caught you…
Guardian: What do you mean?
Ronan: Well you see…I now know where you are…as he said…be careful what you ignore…I’ve been worried about you hiding this whole time…and I just realized something…the flames don’t gather together at you…you are the flames!
Guardian: So you’ve figured it out…too bad it’s too late!
Ronan: Is it really…ugh…just because I’m wounded doesn’t mean I can’t strike back! I told you! Benedictus is also an attack! Not only that! But it’s not really a defense at all! It takes your power and uses it against you! Not only that…I can channel all that power into another attack…if I go down...I’m taking you with me…LUCESPION!!!
The orb is absorbed into his sword as he slams it into the ground and the entire chamber fills with light. Once the light and dust clear, Ronan can be seen standing with blood pouring from all the wounds on his body, the rocks in the chamber all gone, the flames, all gone.
Ronan: I…told you…I’d…kick…your Fire Bolt!…
He faints forward. Landing in a pool of his own blood. Flames then collect nearby his body. The wrap together upwards and a hooded figure forms from the flame.
Guardian: I see. Well, that’s just too bad you didn’t. Though, you’ve failed miserably to do so, I like you kid.  I can also see why they sent you to me. Though, why they always have to send me the reckless ones is beyond me. Why can’t somebody else deal with these types? Maybe I should save you before all your blood is on my floor though…
The guardian then splits back up into flames and covers his body. The wounds begin to slowly weld back together under the heat applied. The warmth begins returning to his body as the wounds heal. Scene dissolves.

Scene re-opens hours later. Ronan is beginning to wake up.
Ronan: …ugh…
He sits up and holds his head.
Ronan: How am I still alive…I could’ve sworn…
His then notices that he’s still sitting in his own blood.
Ronan: How is this possible…
A hand then grabs his open mouth from behind and forces him to face up.
Guardian: Drink this.
The guardian then pours a drink directly down his throat.
Ronan: wahauo fik huo’rr hoohing!?
Guardian: Shut up and just drink it. You’ll still die if you don’t.
After the last drop has been poured, the guardian releases his mouth.
Ronan: …ugh…what the heck was that awful stuff?
Guardian: You don’t want to know. Trust me. I do know what it is, and I wish I didn’t.  The only thing you need to know is that it will replace all the blood you lost.
Ronan: That’s…comforting…so what now…
He sighs expecting the worse.
Guardian: Well kid. You were able to see through the guise of the trick. Too bad you couldn’t figure out where I really was. I was the flame, but you see, just being the flame doesn’t mean that every flame is me. Had I been, then you might have inflicted some amount of damage. It’s really too bad. Not that such a puny attack could do any serious damage but, it could’ve had results.
Ronan: So I take it that I failed this test that you guardians give.
Guardian: Not exactly. It’s not like you’re expecting to beat us, though I must admit…it was amusing watching you try. At least you have enough of your own power to stand a chance. It appears he hasn’t lost his touch for finding the ones with potential.
Ronan: And just who is “he”?
Guardian: You know if you have enough energy for asking questions, you have enough energy to train so then let’s get started!
Ronan: Wait-
Guardian: Too late!
The guardian bursts into flames and launches himself as a fireball at him, catching him right in the chest, causing an explosion. Scene dissolves.
