    Re: Game over Auto-kick

I don't support this idea AT ALL! Ok, I agree that it is really stupid that little kids leech, but what if something serious happened? Like your dog is dieing and you got to take it to the vet. Would you say "brb"?! Hell no! That would be like the most stupid idea in the world. And some people die because they are the only one helping. So, if you are the only one not leeching, you get kicked after 30 seconds, but they don't. Really? This idea fails. p(-_-p)

If your dog has blood squirting out of it's nostrils, I think you have bigger things to worry about than being kicked for being inactive.

    Lorias:

You were saying that the option would give the people who put it on the idea of the bonus, natals, blah blah blah all the stuff that they wanted from the beginning. So to say that the option is the point of that, would be wrong, since the option is to give the host the freedom to set it on the room, like myself to take it off, and Varuna to put it on their room. Putting it on a single player would be useless.

    Edit - To clarify

    AxelRyman:

Thing is with this option is they will have to waste Bonuses and Natal Rings just to stay in. If they die, well they die. They can come back if they wanna try to leech again, but then they're just wasting.

And if someone tries leeching with it on, well what players can do is lead the monsters to them and bam, ganged while AFK.

    The bolt part.

We already know that, since this is what Varuna wanted from the beginning, but the point of giving us the option is for the freedom to allow me and you and others to turn it off.

Oh now I get it. I meant if the host turned it on and went AFK to leech as thats what I thought Varuna meant.

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

Varuna actually meant keeping it off and then starting the game and going afk. Which would be the inverse, he wouldn't have to use any bonus or natals. If he turned it on and went AFK, well...yeah he's one stupid person heh.

If a host did that, I'd frankly just leave, like I mentioned at that point, he's not worth the effort putting into the stage. And odds are, since everyone seems to have a habbit of being impatient on this community and leave when others do, the other people in the game would probably follow suit and leave as well.

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

Well I myself think this is dumb.  For one I am sure who ever posted this has died and lost all his bonuses at some point, if he says no he is either low lvl'd or lying.  For two "it would encourage ppl to buy natals"  Ummm that in it's self would make alot of ppl (high lvls in general) mad because natals kills your exp.And last but not least, with that idea the person that dies wouldn't get any exp or item they picked up and nor would anyone else that actually stayed alive and that would suck for the person looking for a rare drop.

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

You talk as if having an auto-kicking option is going to kill us. Tell me, what exactly does a dead person do besides just get exp and items at the end of the game? Leechers tend to kill themselves on purpose and guess what? They still get exp/gp and items for doing absolutely nothing. People abuse it and that's what I'm saying. Natal rings is optional. Not like you're going to be forced to buy it just because you get auto kicked after being killed 3 times. Seriously, I don't remember the last time I saw a person get to 0 lives besides at the bosses and cliff jumping. Other than that, the other people who die 3 times during the first 3 minutes in the game are obviously getting themselves killed on puropse.

I've never ran out of bonus lives (still have like 50 bonus) and I've only ran out of natal rings because I didn't know what they did when I first started. If you think level 43 Elesis is a low level then okay? I'm not a noob coming here to suggest an auto-kicking feature for no reason.

So, you're saying in dungeons you die a lot so therefore you deserve to get items and exp everyone else does, right? Though, I don't agree with this, I guess I can cut you some slack for actually being there at the game. Not if you're AFK. Most leechers tend to start dying 1/4 of the way to the boss or at half point. Of course I could leave, but that pretty much means I got nothing done in the dungeon and only wasted my time.

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

I half support this idea, but still. What if you had supported your teammates very well, and then finally got to the boss level, and BAM. You die. You get kicked out, wasting all that effort for nothing. As for deeling with the leechers, I suggest that instead of kicking them, all dead people will only recieve say, 30% of the exp and gp and no items except for things for quests and jobs that they have to collect /themselves/.

    Varunax:

I was using a comparison if you didn't notice. Did I say Grand Chase uses coins? No.

You talk as if everything should be so fair and that players who work hard should deserve to get the exp even if they die. Have you ever thought that it doesn't work like that in almost every game? If you die, game over. Yeah, that's right. Too bad, it doesn't matter how hard you try, if you don't pass the stage, why would you get exp? EXP/Items are rewarded for PASSING THE STAGE. Not "trying your best".

    dont lie

most game if u die games not over till ur teams are dead

take a look at elsword gunz counter strike and alot of games that have team option

besides if u get kicked after 0 lives u wouldnt get ur exp would u?

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

I disagree with this, sorry. Even with allowing hosts a choice, I know I wouldn't want this to take effect in a dungeon with a jumping stage. I like trying the jumping stages, but I tend to sometimes fail at them due to bad luck/mis-aiming, especially with those darn geysers. If I reach 0 lives I don't use bonus until the jump stage has been cleared (or if everyone failed too), with this in effect I will get kicked for trying the stage - which will only result in less people trying the jump stage and thus less people who can actually do the jump stages. In the future we'l have a suggestion: "Remove the jump stages" as a result.

I have played a while and I didn't notice people were leeching, I always thought they just sucked badly... But to think people die on purpose to leech? Despicable. Even so, I still can't come to agree with this one...

I'l suggest one thing though: If you are at 0 lives any items picked up will not be distributed to you. And if you are at 0 for more than 50% of the completed rooms in the dungeon - then all items at the end will be X'd out for you automatically. So basically, if you're a leecher - you will get nothing.

    @munhkjin444

Learn to spell before you start calling me a liar. Besides, those games you listed are FPS (First Person Shooter) games and third person shooters. You don't get EXP in Counter-Strike by killing someone. Your comparasion plain sucks.

     ------

Since most of the people agree with the idea that the leechers are a problem and after reading your guy's opinions and suggestions about it, I think I'll modify it a bit because some of you think the auto-kicking idea is a bit too harsh.

     - EXP/GP will only be given to players who are alive during the course of the game. This also applies to items that are dropped from monsters or the bosses. Players are still allowed to stay in game if anyone wants to use a natal ring to revive them before the stage is completed.

     - Players who are inactive (not moving for more than 5 minutes) may be automatically kicked. There's really no reason why you would have to be AFK for more than 5 minutes because dungeons take around 10-20 minutes to complete depending on the difficulty.

    - Players who are dead when the stage is completed only gets half of the total amount of EXP/GP obtained and do not get any items. While they may still get some EXP/GP, it's still nerfed down quite a bit.

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

A simple solution would be to have the three expels work in dungeons too.

I can not tell you how many times I host a game where as soon as I load it someone says "brb" and goes afk for the whole tme.

I would love to expel people post matchup as much as the next person, but then we are getting into the whole jerk/ass situations where people will team up then kick them right before the boss dies and crap like that. Though I see where you are coming from, I've had that a few times.

As for whoever said no to the option; the thing about that is, it would be a choice, if you wouldn't want to play in a game that has that activated, then go find another game. Gaikoz server is so damn packed lately that I've never ever had a problem finding a game, and whenever I host my own, it always fills up right away.

Eh, I do have problems finding games, timezone issues see, I don't live in the U.S. But i'l be able to host myself soon, which should solve my problems.

And yes, Lina's colors, not the fonts, make my eyes hurt too... Consider using something darker!

Totally going for the cutesy pink theme aren't you. Give me a sig full of blood and i'l be happy >:]

Hm, if only I was any good at making such sigs but my artistic side is somewhat lacking.. big time.. well, i'm good at writing!

Yay for offtopicness. Excuse it though :p

Err never mind my comment then, I guess the timezone situation would definitely be a factor in that.
