    Re: Game over Auto-kick

Actually Axel I would be fine with that option of allowing the host to choose. I like to host my game a lot cause of my good connection, so that my friend who has dialup can actually participate in team games. So it would give me the option of keeping that off, and still allow Varuna and them to get their way.

Would also prevent people from running away because it wouldn't be a forced thing.

By far the best suggestion this thread has had all day.

Uh.. no exactly quit being immature and tell me?
You think im scared of posting arguments back to you?
You think i would look bad if Varunax was my account?

No, because you're the one who looks dumb for being immature.

Thanks for actually leaving some feedback, but the insults are going to have to stop. If you're going to argue and call each other names, go add each other on MSN or something and do it there.

Anyway, the option for it sounds alright, but then again, I've been plenty of games where the host just starts the game and then goes AFK.

In those cases I just leave right away. If the host has no sense of dignity he doesn't really deserve my time.

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

Thing is with this option is they will have to waste Bonuses and Natal Rings just to stay in. If they die, well they die. They can come back if they wanna try to leech again, but then they're just wasting.

And if someone tries leeching with it on, well what players can do is lead the monsters to them and bam, ganged while AFK.

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

So the options I got for auto kicking is that it should be optional which sounds like an alright idea. Just how the group loot and free loot are set up, then there should be an option that has auto kick on/off. (off by default).

By the way Axel, I'm not ZDragun. Why don't you get a GM to look at our IP if you want proof since you seem so worked up about it.

The thing about that options is not about the bonuses and natals (they wanted that from the beginning), but the option to actually turn it off for people who don't like it, such as myself. In that case, it wouldn't force people to run away from the game. They'd probably run into a bunch of people who have it on, and then learn to play games that don't have it on. Atleast then you are enforcing it, but not forcing them to leave if they just wanna have a bit of fun which was my concern to begin with. It would pretty much be like turning on a "hardcore" or "hard" mode. If you die, tough luck, but atleast you have the option of chosing it and not being forced to.

This does not apply to leechers though.

EDIT - Now that I think about it, if they implement something like this, they should also implement a hardcore style mode. Make it worse than champion. One life, One go. I'd love to try a challenge on a dungeon like that. Would actually be fun.

    Against

    1) People want to stay in the same room.  Whether it be friends or just a group that took a while to get, being kicked from the room because you're dead makes no sense.

    2) Someone dies at the platforming and decided to wait until the stage is cleared to revive rather than constantly waste bonuses and/or natals as well as time constantly reviving and failing.  Everyone slips.

    3) It makes more sense to wait until the last player dies at a boss before using a natal ring to get the most out of the charge as well as deal as much damage as possible on your last life.  What if it takes longer than 30 seconds for that last player to die?

    4) Leechers will just get kicked at the end of the game anyways.  Oh no, I lost a few items to him, whoop de do.  I'm gonna go cry and blame everyone because I didn't get <insert random item here>

    5) This makes the individual exp per monster useless because there's nothing at all until you beat the boss.  Might as well have the boss give all the exp with this suggestion.

No offense but I already brought all but the last point to the table and probably others have before me. But welcome to the debate! We're currently on the topic of an option for it.

I read through it a bit and found it too irritating to read it all.  That's just the points I would make in this thread, regardless of if they were brought up or not.

Considering his reply after I made the suggestion, I know its not.

You kinda confused me. You mean let the host choose if a player should have it or not? If so, host could not have it on himself and then just AFK for the entire thing, so you'd be forced to leave or deal with that. Then again, I could be wrong by what you mean. Only place I actually see the Auto-kick being useful is at Kaze's since it would make all the people who really want Lass badly who just die off in the first room to leave and fail.

Well the new suggestion is to allow the host to make a room and decide if this feature should be on or off. At least, thats how it is for now.

    Re: Game over Auto-kick

You were saying that the option would give the people who put it on the idea of the bonus, natals, blah blah blah all the stuff that they wanted from the beginning. So to say that the option is the point of that, would be wrong, since the option is to give the host the freedom to set it on the room, like myself to take it off, and Varuna to put it on their room. Putting it on a single player would be useless.

    Edit - To clarify

    AxelRyman:

    The bolt part.

We already know that, since this is what Varuna wanted from the beginning, but the point of giving us the option is for the freedom to allow me and you and others to turn it off.
