If your using photoshop just double click the font layer on the side.

 don't quite understand what you mean by that, what I mean is more how do you get your text to look so well in your sigs. Mine always seems to just blend in...

Lol really I'm not sure I just have a keen eye on doing text effects that have always been my strong hold in making signatures
