    Re: Regarding GameGuard Error 7c

1.Click Start, click Run, type %SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.
2.Click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
3.Click the date that you installed Windows XP SP3, and then click Installed Window XP Service Pack 3 in the Restore Point box.
4.Click Next, and then follow the instructions on the screen to remove Windows XP SP3.

This is the only way to uninstall SP3 atm.

    kagei:

We have received many feedback from players regarding Gameguard Error 7c.

One thing which seems to be in common with players having a problem is the Windows XP 64-Bit edition.

Grand Chase is only compatible with 32-Bit editions of Windows XP(home or pro w/SP1 or SP2).

We've also noticed several players' forum signature with Service Pack 3 RC2(Release Candidate 2) installed on their Windows XP 32-Bit editions. As Service Pack 3 is still in development and has not reached RTM stage(Released to Manufacturing, RTM usually refers to the final code), it may cause problems with running Grand Chase on your computer.

If you have installed SP3 RC2 on your 32-Bit Windows XP, please uninstall and revert back to SP2 and Grand Chase should run as normal.

Why the heell would osmeone to take all this time just to play one game this is really stupid so screw you

    Re: Regarding GameGuard Error 7c

how about someone post a link to the gameguard.des file that so many of us need.  also, i think i know what the problem is, programming-wise.  certain simple console commands, like copy, can't be called in the same way in all systems.  i remember running into this once.  i suspect that the call to copy in the file is hard-coded in the updater.

    Re: Regarding GameGuard Error 7c

I have SP2 on windows xp pro and its 32-bit, yet I still get the Error 72 with a message under it saying GameOn couldnt be loaded. All this happens after my anti-virus flags a malware file when I open Grand Chase , which I downloaded directly from this website. I also tried removing the game completely and reinstalling and many other suggested solutions from the forums with no success.

    Re: Regarding GameGuard Error 7c

Yup. The exact same here. =/ Ran fine straight after install, then I got the bug where if you try to start a dungeon you get sent to PvP, now this.

._. Was it really worth giving it a chance? Seems not.

Well, a lot of people use WinXP x64 edition. It's a lot faster with games than the 32-bit processors are. This game does not have a beta tag, nor does it say on the download page it won't run on WinXP x64. Because of those two things, I'd expect it to be able to run on many different system configurations.

I have many games that use different protection systems and they all work except for Grand Chase. To me, that just smacks of laziness. E-mail me when you guys fix this bug. And yes, it is a bug. A very major one.

    Re: Regarding GameGuard Error 7c

For all of those players who keep getting this problem, i'd like to share my solution, which is kind of weird...

I used to get this error as well, and also avast reported something on gameguard folder as a trojan (rootkit something, i forgott); the weird part is that once my brother came and play another game that uses gameguard (i won't say which game to avoid the flamming about "advertising"), and it rewrited some crap on gameguard, when i wanted to play grand chase i got a message that said "it has been detected that there's a game running that use gameguard, press yes if you want to continue" (tought i already closed that game a looooooong ago), so i clicked yes, and problem fixed, just like gameguard.

I doubt this whould help anyone, but it states at least that it is some configuration on Grand Chase's GameGuard.

    Re: Regarding GameGuard Error 7c

Help !!! The nProtect Game Monitor Rev 1146 has stopped working. A problem cuased the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Error 72 - Failed to initialise Gamemon. Please try and start again.

I'm a level 22 knight. Can't play for about a month already. Still no solution ?

    Re: Regarding GameGuard Error 7c

I am also a victim of this service pack 3 B***S***.

I agree with a few replies above, it doesn't say it's not compatable with x64 or SP3 ANYWHERE so just fix it ( please ).

Be glad that so many ppl WANT to play it while they can't, it means it's worth working on.
